My colour is light pink #F8C8D4
My synesthesia is projective. When I’m stuck in a traffic jam, it’s fascinating how all the vehicle number plates have colours. You can generate your own colours using any tool/app . Let’s have some fun!
Some of My decades are arranged in columns while others horizontally.
When I was in middle school, we had a magazine that listed celebrities' birth years. One celebrity was born in 1980, and I remember thinking, “Ah, that’s at the very top of the 80s column.” Another celebrity was born in 1982, so I thought, “Oh, she’s two years younger” and my mind placed her two steps down in that same column.
Ever since that day, whenever I think of a birth year or a historical event—like 9/11 in 2001 or COVID in 2020—my mind automatically visualizes it at its exact spatial location. If you were born in 1986 then my mind will automatically go to that specific location in my mental chart.
My synesthesia is projective.I see myself standing in the center i.e 2026 (present), all the past years are on my left side and all the future years are on my right side.I see them located in the surrounding external space.
Never heard of the word “synesthesia” before. Came to realize the condition is called Spatial sequence synesthesia just few months ago.
I also have GCS,all the years and decades have their own specific colours.
70s are light cyan,80s are red,90s are black,2000s are yellow no
Do you see colours for punctuation marks (?,!’.”/:;) & Arithmetic operators (+ - x %=)?
If so, I’d love to know what your colours are in the chat 👇
I see colours only for alphabet, numbers
& currency symbols
For eg: $ looks like S so it is light pink
€ & £ both look like E so they are dark blue
But punctuation marks & arithmetic operators are colourless to me 😵💫
one of my friends said “subtraction (-) is yellow” but I don’t see any colour so I’m just curious whether others see colours or not.
Most people say the colour of August is orange but my synesthesia makes me see it in different colours.
Mixture of Dark blue (almost black) ,yellow and pink
What’s yours? You can generate your own colours with chatGPT or Gemini AI ☺️😗
This is how I see numbers. Noticed since the age of 6. Now I’m 33 and the colours never change. Think I’m the only one in this world who sees 7 as light cyan/turquoise lol
This is how I see
January- white
February- light pink
March- red
April- dark blue almost black
May- maroon
June- light yellow
July- white
August- dark blue almost black (ugu appears a little bit yellow)
September- pink
October- black
November- pale orange brown
December- black
(I don’t associate January with white simply because of the snow,it’s because the letter J is greyish white and for February it’s light pink because of the letter F which I see it as light pink. Same goes for April and December.Just because April sounds feminine I don’t see it as pink, purple or baby blue lol. December also is a month of Christmas but I don’t see it as red. The letters A and D are black to me)
