In Japan, a special music program called the “Kohaku Uta Gassen” is broadcast every year on New Year’s Eve.
This year, many people are hoping that Akina Nakamori will appear on the “Kohaku Uta Gassen” for the first time in 12 years.

I was hesitant to listen to it at first because it’s just too long, but I ended up listening to it anyway. It’s “A Whole Day of Akina Nakamori. ( Kyouwa ichinichi Nakamori Akina zanmai ) ”
The additional shows for Akina Nakamori’s “AKINA NAKAMORI LIVE TOUR 2026” wrapped up yesterday. Looking at today’s typhoon updates, it seems the timing worked out well. I wasn’t able to attend, but I’m sure those who did had a truly memorable and enriching experience.
When she was a teenager, Akina Nakamori had a girlish cuteness about her; in her 20s and 30s, she exuded the allure of a mature woman; and although she wasn’t very active in her 40s and 50s, when she recently made her comeback—and this may sound harsh—she had certainly aged a bit more than she did in her 30s. But since she’s been so charming at every stage of her life, Akina Nakamori really is on a whole other level.
If you have the day off according to the calendar, you may have seen an announcement that on September 22, 2026—right in the middle of a long weekend—NHK will air a program titled “Kyouwaichinichi Nakamori Akina zanmai’.”
“I can't wait for this!” I thought, and just as I was about to set the video recorder to record it, I realized it's actually a radio broadcast.
What's more, it doesn't seem like Akina Nakamori will actually be appearing.
I’m sure they’ll play a lot of Akina Nakamori’s songs, and we might even hear some behind-the-scenes stories, but listening for 5 hours and 45 minutes straight is pretty tough, isn’t it?
I have the day off from work today and don't have any plans, but even though it's a great show, I don't think I'll listen to it.
…That said, I might end up listening to it on the day after all…

July 7th is the birthday of Ririka Moriya, the protagonist of *Nurse Angel Ririka SOS*.
It used to be one of my favorite animated works. I still like it, but I can't talk about it with the same level of passion I once did.
Even so, every year when this day comes around, I post something on social media to celebrate the birthdays of Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Ririka Moriya.
I found a community for *Nurse Angel Ririka SOS*, so I posted on Reddit for the first time this year.
I used to love this series so much that I even bought fan-made magazines for it. I'm happy to see that a community for it still exists today.
Before I conclude, please allow me to offer a brief explanation. As I am Japanese and have little understanding of English, I used a translation tool to draft this text. I apologize if any inaccuracies in the translation have resulted in awkward or unpleasant phrasing; I sincerely hope that is not the case.
I hope this work conveys a sense of kindness to everyone's hearts and remains a story that is talked about for years to come.
