Need Advice: Switching from Realme 16 Pro+ to Xiaomi 13 Pro - is it better and still worth it?
Yo everyone, S73RK0 TECH here. I’m 13 and I’m in a tough spot. I recently convinced my mom to let me pick out a Realme 16 Pro+ (12/512GB) (Even when I wanted Honor Magic8 Pro but shop didnt had its and I dont have enough time Because my Samsung Galaxy S10 lite have very bad battery and I didnt want IT main anymore). I promised her I wouldn’t complain and that I wouldn’t sell it, but I’m really regretting it.
The phone is driving me crazy – it has 12GB of RAM, but it lags so bad during multitasking that I have to wait a minute for it to respond. I can’t use it for my daily tasks properly. I really want to switch to a Xiaomi 13 Pro because I know the Xiaomi ecosystem fits my workflow much better.
I have the savings to cover the difference if I sell the Realme, but the problem is the promise I made to my mom. I don't want to be a liar or an ungrateful kid.
For those who know Realme vs Xiaomi: Is this kind of lag on the 16 Pro+ common? (Is it worth even trying to fix, or just move on?)
How do I explain to my mom that I’m breaking my promise, but only because the device is actually preventing me from doing what I need to do? How do I make her understand that this isn’t a whim, but a necessary change?
