This is why new Gacha system wasted more Pyrox than old system. A 190 rolls discourse.

The discourse people love to pull out for the new Gacha system is "if the first student comes home at 190 pulls and the counter resets, that's gonna be worse."

Oh no, it becomes worse before that.

This graph shows how bad the new gacha system is for people who aim for 2 students(or 4 on anniversary banners) and whales. The bottom number is the roll at which the first featured student comes home.

  1. Regular dual banner.
  2. Pre-Fes with free 100 rolls
  3. Fes banner with 6% 3-star rate (looks the same as regular)

You can see there's an intersection at 60 pulls; that's the point where the new system is getting worse, the point where the return is diminishing, because you will likely spend more than the old system.

Your worst nightmare is if your absolute worst luck kicks in on your 4 of the Anniversary Banners, you could waste as much as 84000 Pyroxene instead of 48000 for just 4 characters.

If you spend more than 60 rolls and don't get any featured student, your luck is ass.
