Grout color conundrum
I was on the fence about what color grout to use with this brownish-veined Volakas marble. I like the effect of seeing the individual tiles, which a darker grout would give, but when you make the joints white the veining pops a lot more. I like that too. Opted for white. The dark joints in the photos are just ungrouted tile. I did a test panel with a medium brown grout and found it called attention to the grout a little too much.
I'm ready to seal marble tile pre-grouting. In the past I have used Stonetech bulletproof, and Fila MP90 solvent based. I see a lot of recommendations for 511 sealer. This is honed Volakas marble and and an unknown pure white marble. Grout is Laticrete spectralok epoxy. For the Volakas I'm using a sandstone grout color that is harmonious with veining, and white grout with the white marble. Any recommendations? I've been reading about windowpane effect with darker grouts and am getting worried.
