Reposition to Internal Origin - Help! Is it too late for me?

I got a call from the Architect saying our model does not align with theirs. So we figured out that I would need to reposition the linked-in Arch Model by right clicking and selecting "Reposition to Internal Origin". The issue I have with this is that we already have work done in the model and the work does not mode with the model. I tried repositioning the model then mass-moving all of the MEP work but I get the error "cant move these elements. One of them is restricted to moving in one direction while the other is restricted to moving in a conflicting direction".

Help? Are we SOL or is there a way to move everything in this model (linked model & our MEP work) all at once?

Linked In model shared coordinates help?

Hello,

The architect is saying our model is not showing up in the correct location. How do I get their model location accurate to our linked model? Do they have to publish their coordinates? then we acquire them?

We already have wall hosted elements, so I would like to avoid unloading then reloading links.

Any help would be useful.

Edit:

Thank you for your help. Right now I have an architect who is saying this is my issue and messaging me constantly to fix it.

I acquired coordinates, clicked their model and checked that it rotates on True North.

Their model shows the base point: Shared site - N/S: -9' E/W: -34' Angle: 66

Our model linked into their model is still showing as: Survey Point - Internal - Shared Site - N/S: 0' E/W: 0'

Any suggestions?

Taking on a second role, how much should I ask for? MEP/FP Firm

Hello,

I am currently a BIM coordinator/manager for a MEP/FP firm making around $82k. It is just me in this role as I do not have any BIM support. In the last year I have greatly improved our workflow/efficiency and if I can say so myself, I am a very valuable person here at this company. I was able to improve our workflow from 5 days to about 1 or 2 days. I now have spare time that I would like to use wisely. I talked with the Plumbing head, and he agreed to teach me how to draft/design plumbing. We plan that in 3 months time I will be trained enough to take some exams and earn some certificates.

I would still keep my BIM job, but I would add a second role as plumbing designer.

How much more should I ask for at my performance review? I was thinking of asking for $92K but if I take on a second role I feel like I should get more? Any opinions?

We are trying to standardize our shared parameters between all trades, starting with Plumbing.

We created families with corrected parameters. For example, WC-1 has a new parameter called "Company Name - Tag ID" and "Company Name - P - Cold Water Connection Size".

In our shared parameters we had and old parameter called "Tag #" or "CONNECTION - CW".

Is there a way to mass-push these shared parameters from familes to the main shared parameters file? I dont want to have to manually bring them in. Is there a way to edit a shared parameter file (txt) in Revit?
