Crunchyroll Dub > Netflix Dub
Without chastising me, can you guys please explain how on Earth most of you guys think the Netflix Dub is better than the Crunchyroll Dub? I actually don’t understand it. I’ve seen both from start to finish and Netflix is not just inferior, it’s straight up terrible. Canute’s VA is atrocious for his character. The Crunchyroll VA for Canute also did Armin Arlert from AoT and he KILLED it as Canute. Especially the reuniting with Thorfinn speech where he tries to stop the waves. The Netflix Dub for that speech was HORRIBLE.
Also, “Ask-uh-lad”… are we serious? “Ash-uh-lod” sounds WAY cooler and more Viking-esque.
Thors’ VA for CR Dub was also significantly better. His Netflix Dub sounds like a college bro.
The ONLY VA’s for Netflix Dub that I could comfortably say are better or on par with CR are Thorkell’s VA, Thorfinn’s VA, and Leif’s VA.
