My first ever

Just got her for my first backpack any tips or anything I should know before I leave? And also how should I fit this backpack to me perfectly there seems to be like a small gap between my back and the actually backpack concerned if that’s a back problem or I just need to get it fitted properly

Do I size up?

Hey everyone! I’m currently a new backpacker and I plan on going on long trips I currently have some Salomon xa pro 3d I bought a while back but now it’s a very snug fit.

sometimes when I try to make my toe touch the tip of the shoe I am able to feel it but I’ve been wearing this for a couple days and it is pretty dang comfortable I am also on a budget ( just dropped 300 CAD on a osprey bag, 200 CAD on a 20/-7 sleeping bag and a nice 100 CAD sleeping pad)

Is it worth spending another 200 for shoes that are more loose?

Also has anyone hiked with shoes that are tight? And how was that feeling downhill and uphill.

Thanks

Options options options

Hi so I am a beginner backpack and I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to choose between two very nice hiking bags as my first actual bag

I usually go on trips no longer than 3-4 nights and was wondering if I should either get the osprey rook 65l bag or the north face terra 65l bag both are similar in price but the terra is 40 CAD cheaper than the rook
