Should I ascend now? (Unascended.) What should I do before if I were to ascend?

As you can see kinda a beginner and I do not have Enough Patience to look for Videos which explain these things. So I am here.

Why can't I put Sugar Lumps on my Temple?

So I have been playing for Two days. I was looking Up the Wiki and it said to spend my second Sugar Lump on Temple (After Wizard Tower.) But The Temple's not appearing? I tried refreshing the page but Nope. Is there any other way to Lump Upgrade the Temple? (New to the game and community.)
