iPod Classic (7th gen) issues with Album Artwork
Hey guys,
I am having a problem with my iPod Classic 7th generation displaying the artwork correctly. Read this carefully because I have tinkered a lot and still cannot fully solve the issue.
Ok, so all the album artwork appears correctly when viewing Cover Flow, but when I view that album under the 'Albums" view or under the "Artists" view on the iPod Classic, the album artwork is incorrect. Instead, it shows album artwork that I very recently downloaded manually from the net (about 20-30 albums, because those album covers did not sync at all onto the iPod). However, they have since synced after downloading from an iTunes Artwork site.
It is really annoying because even when the artwork thumbnail on the iPod for albums in the "Artist" or "Album" views is wrong, when I play a song, the correct Cover Flow album artwork indeed shows.
I just want it all to look correct. I have wiped the iPod and resynced several times using Finder on my Mac, but it still stays the same.
Of note, out of frustration, I previously deleted the music artwork cache from the Mac (before I manually downloaded some albums off the net (I followed steps on Google AI), and I wonder if since then, the problem occurred or if it was already like this.
I am completely lost, and I've spent almost 2 days attaching artwork off the net to get Cover Flow, resyncing, and rechecking for it to look right, but the Album and Artist thumbnails in those lists on the iPod are driving me a bit nuts! Haha!
If anyone truly knows how to fix this, could the person provide me with a step-by-step, simple fix that I can do? Thanks a million for reading, folks!
