How did you survive with real bills?

This goes out to all my non traditional students who are currently in or has graduated pharmacy school. I'll be 40 next year when I start i have a wife, kids and real bills! How did you survive school. How did you pay bills? Is it really reasonable that loans would cover my bills? What are the real struggles, tips and tricks?

40 year old Pharm D student

Hey everyone! I am currently doing my prerequisites and am doing well through 3 semesters with them. They dont seem easy and they dont seem hard but I was wondering are there any older people who decided to pursue pharmacy at a later age like me. What are your experiences? I dont think I could do such intense schooling in my 20's as I was wild lol... any drawbacks at getting a late start in this profession?

How early is early admissions?

I'm hoping to separate this from the usual what are my chances post because this is different. I'm doing prerequisites currently with a 3.7. PharmCas opens up for applications for next fall in July. I want to apply asap... as it stands with the next 2 semesters and 1 course in the summer next year my prerequisites will be satisfied but is it really OK to apply in July when I need 2 more full semesters and 1 class in summer. I want to be an early candidate but should I at least wait until after fall semester to apply? I've heard of people getting interviews in September and October!

What are my chances? 😅🥹🤣
