I am thinking about switching from a national bank to a local credit union. Not a fan of Mountain America. Has anyone had great experiences with a local CU?

My hubby and I will be in Ireland for a couple of events, and we’ve added five days on the front end. The events will be in Kildare for two days, then Dublin for five days. We are flying in and out of Dublin. We will stay one night in Dublin upon arrival, then we’ll have four days to explore. We definitely want to visit Cork area because my ancestors came from there. I would also love to see Dingle. I’m trying to decide if we should try to stay all nights in kinsale where some family will be staying, and do day trips to the dingle area, or spend most nights in the dingle area. This will be early June. Any advice? I have never been to Ireland.
