My GP has just spent 30 minutes talking to me about the keto diet.... feeling pretty disheartened right now.
For context: 27F, 120kg, 163 cm, high BMI.
I have PCOS/PMOS, i have always struggled with my weight. I feel like i have tried every diet under the sun and its always the same. Nothing changes, or my weight goes up so I stop.
I bled from November through to may, every single day. Saw my GP twice who sent me for ultrasound which showed a thickened endometrium. Then had a 7 day "period" where I was bleeding a huge amount with large clots and ended up on TXA. Tried the pill which made my symptoms worse. Then had a hysteroscopy where they removed a fibroid and a polyp and confirmed no cancer cells present.
So back to square one with no gynae follow up.
Saw a different GP today and she basically dismissed most of what I said and instead spent 30 minutes googling a keto diet to show me.
Just feeling so unbelievably down about this, has anyone tried it? Is it even worth a go?
