Just got my SQE2 results and honestly… the relief 😭
It’s been such a long journey balancing exams, work and everything else life throws at you, so seeing that pass felt surreal.

I’m currently coming up to qualification at a large UK firm and unfortunately didn’t secure an internal NQ role in my preferred area.
I’ve been speaking to recruiters and the market seems incredibly tight, especially for external corporate/finance positions. A lot of firms also appear to be prioritising internal candidates this year.
It’s honestly been quite a stressful process and I imagine I can’t be the only one going through it.
Would be really interesting to hear how other trainees/NQs are navigating the current market, whether people are pivoting practice areas, considering regional firms, qualifying elsewhere, etc.
Also wondering whether there would be interest in some kind of group chat/community for people going through the external NQ process this year. Feels like there’s probably a lot more of us than people realise.
