Legendary Trip

Just got back from Bandon, already dreaming of our next trip. So many firsts, let’s start with the worst…

  1. Started off day 1 getting hit and knocked to the ground for a bit by an errant ball to my temple/face at Shorty’s. Never seen anyone get hit before…Tried not to give them too hard of a time since accidents happen, especially since nothing was broken. An inch another direction, I could have definitely lost an eyeball. Definitely shook us all up. To the guy who hit me, if you’re reading this, can I get a signed glove at least?

  2. The golf gods rewarded me by posting my PR of 86 two days later. What a place to break 90 for the first time. Kicking myself thinking it could have been even lower save for a few mistakes…that’s golf!

  3. Witnessed my first HOI event from an adjacent group next two us on hole 17 at Bandon Trails.

  4. The caddie experience was immaculate. Definitely understand now why they were highly recommended.

  5. The whole resort was a finely tuned golfers paradise. Service and hospitality was top notch. There were no bad food options, and everything was easily accessible (with reservations).

  6. Perfect weather the entire time we were there. Stunning experience playing along the coast line of Pacific Dunes and Sheep Ranch.

It really is what golf should be like. Til next time Bandon!
