Visiting Jongno and being shocked

I'm a korean korean boy. I live in gangnam and my father's law office is in Jongno. Today I had to do something with my dad and visited his workplace. Every time I visit 종로, it just feels so different from where I live, and strange to me. Of course there're huge skyscrapers, decent public transportation, and infrastructure, but the overall vibe just feels like a ghetto place or super inner city like. I've never seen homeless people(I see so much here) back in my hometown and every person(even old people) look put-together, but here there are so many people dressed kinda cheap and their skin is really tan, and what kinda shocks me is that people are smaller than 강남(i feel usually small back home but here im pretty tall im 176cm probably between 5'9 and 5'10). Even my aged boys are kinda smaller than me(which is usually not the case). I also see a lot of 외국인들 sightseeing too. Though it's really fun to walk around in 종로, cuz everything just feels new and I feel like I'm in a different country.

Second question to expats in korea(apologies for my ignorant attitude in my former post)

Is this video saying the truth? It's about splling the beans how certain expats in korea are being racist and looking down on koreans.

I have a question to expats in korea(17 yo teen living in 대치동)

Ummm why Korea? I mean my father's a lawyer and since I was a kid I was exposed a lot to professions. I mean not just me but every dude's aim is to reach the upper class or at least to be capable of earning a lot. I see most ppl moving here in their 20s and that just seems so absurd to me. U have no connections, no knowledge about the society and the job opportunities are limited and there's even a language barrier. I mean like highly paying jobs like doctor, lawyer or like (I mean 전문직들 세무사, 법무사, 변호사, 의사 socially desirable jobs) it's impossible to get those. The best nation u can thrive is ur own cuz ur the majority and u have the knowledge of how the society works and ur father would have connections (the real ones like) I just can't understand why people give up those stuff and move to an east asian country.
