Just completed Task 3 and now just waiting … can not submit Task 3 until Task 2 is passed. Refreshing my assessment page hourly for those “IN QUEUE” statuses to change. This is peak anxiety 🙂

For anyone who followed my D599 Task 1 struggle, I finally got some closure.My submission kept getting kicked back because of the way I imputed missing values. I argued that the method itself was legitimate and that I had clearly justified why I used it. After multiple attempts, emails, and escalating the issue, my instructor took it to management.
Management ultimately agreed that my original imputation method was acceptable given the justification I provided. They’re apparently reviewing it with the evaluation team and looking at their internal processes so the same issue doesn’t happen in future evaluations.
I didn’t technically “win” because they still recommended that I let my revised Attempt 5, which uses univariate imputation, continue through evaluation rather than going backward and fighting over the previous submission.
And honestly, that’s fine with me. At this point I just want the class finished lol.
But getting confirmation that the original methodology was valid makes the whole fight feel somewhat worth it. Hopefully it also prevents another student from getting stuck in the same loop over something that is methodologically acceptable when properly justified.
Now please just pass Attempt 5 so I never have to look at D599 Task 1 again 😂

Almost feels illegal how fast you can progress through classes at WGU when you’re able to prove competency 😂. Started September 1st for context.
I absolutely love the competency-based model. I currently have one class pending an appeal, and I’m already working through D608–D610.
