Flight cancelled. Missed funeral
I bought a delta flight ticket From Washington to Manila in order to go to a funeral of a close friend, you know what they did? They cancelled last minute, technical issue on delta’s. I just don’t get how the ceo Presumably this “toby fox” I see on this subreddit everywhere is getting glazed relentlessly, Delta Ruined my night
I finally finished the 1st 5 pjo books and these are MY Rankings [Pjo]
Over the span of a week or so I finished the Percy Jackson original 5 and the show and these are my rankings
- Battle of the labyrinth- I love the backrooms and plot twists so you can see why this book is my favorite, it had the best dialogue even though Grover didn’t get much screen time, it had calypsos island, a fighting ring, it’s just TOO AMAZING, only complaint is less comedy in the Pan cave scene
- The titans curse- I loved this book but annabeth was kidnapped the whole book so it got ranked down a peg, I would have made it so we would see in annabeth pov like In the heroes of Olympus books, even if it’s just a short “annabeth talks to Percy when he’s sleeping” thing it would do heavy work, it also introduced 3 major characters and killed of 2 of them, pretty bold, both moments made me cry like crazy but Bianca dying because she spent time dancing using the golem instead of just turning it off and leaving instantly felt realistic, it really brings to your attention that these guys are CHILDREN
- The last Olympian- It was a GREAT book, really ties all the allies together, The prophecy Made sense right in the end, my notes are, the army should have stormed Olympus, it should have had an everything is falling apart moment (maybe percy dies in battle) Then something happens that strengthens the army like maybe they use the Golden Fleece on Percy then they kill Luke and make Kronos army retreat but other than that it’s a sod 7/10
4.The lightning thief- I wish it spent more time during camp and goes more into detail what camp is like, Since Percy gets instantly thrown in a quest, I think it should have made it look like Luke was more popular and friendly, it also just dosent compare to the quality of the other books, It’s a decent intro just I loved it when the plot of Kronos picks up, it’s not last since it’s an intro book so It gets a pass - The sea of monsters- it’s an iffy book, even though I love the odyssey and this was pattern recognition heaven for me, it’s just not a great book, the writing felt bland on some parts, I wish it used a dual POV type where it switches from Percy to Clarisse that would make this book number 3 or 4 but of course, it dosent
It’s also the most forgettable book, when I was writing this list I was like “hey why is there only 4…” and then I realized this book existed, only thing this book has done to the over arching story is introducing Kronos and Luke and the princess andromeda, i like some parts but the others… it’s just not for me, I can see the appeal though I just can’t feel the appeal
Ive finally read ALL 5 original books in the series and here are my thoughts [pjo]
When I first heard of PJO i thought it was some kind of band… until I saw the Title of the Show on Disney and got an add for in in the theater, so I researched it, bought the books, and WOW that is a Good book series then I watched the tv series, so here are my Opinions In a messy and un-organized manner: i feel like my main problem with the series’s is during book 3-4 the changes in Nico’s personality are a bit too huge, like I would imagine him be grieving and mourning in book 4 then turn full emo a year later, Also i usually don’t like love triangles but book 5 handled it Extremely well! Infact if you read the chapter titles first it almost seems like it baits you into thinking Annabeth would DUMP Percy, but they subverted it by Including Rachel in the previously-love-line-now-triangle then subsequently KILLING OFF THE ONLY CHARACTER THAT FULLY WITNESSED IT and SUBVERTING THE ALREADY TURNED EXPECTATIONS BY MAKING RACHEL UNABLE TO DATE PERCY SINCE SHES THE ORACLE holy crap that was SOOOOO smart, also here’s my chart of characters
- Grover- Amazing character only problem for me is just I can’t imagine him bleating while speaking
2.Annabeth- Wow, her whole deal with Luke and the only way to stop him is his death is AMAZING no notes to that arc, number 2 because I like Grover more - Tyson- I mean he’s lovable but I think the Disney series handled his dialogue better than the books in my opinion, he sounded way more Dumb in the books but has at least coherent-ness in the show, it’s a really hurtful stereotypes to Southern cyclopses, it’s a myth that they are dumb that all started with Polyphemus and that was because he was pretty dumb, But book 5 Was the only book that makes Tyson Like the Disney series
4 #2.Nico di Angelo - I loved when he became emo just I wished it was introduced a bit later so it can show his grief, but overall he was a good Death warrior
4 #3 .Bianca - I like her, she’s heroic and protective just I wish she got more time and maybe extend book 3 to fit this since the book is too good - Percy- I find him kinda annoying even though I relate to him, I just wish he Wasn’t the one narrating the whole book, I’m currently reading heroes of Olympus and the three way POV system is so good, it’s in the 3rd person, the narration barely takes the POV’s personality
- Rachel Elizabeth dare- she’s more like a three but I wrote this From head to toe and I’m to lazy to put her there
(I only put characters important to more than 1 book so sorry if some of the campers like Selina or Beckendorf are here)
I’ll be making a Book Rank soon
