are there any difference in the content of the chests?

I keep getting gold and silver chests but haven't actually gotten any gold keys or enough silver keys to open them, which makes me wonder if they're actually worth keeping or should I remove them to get extra space

so it's my first time completing this daily challenge but i can't press the gift box button to claim it, do I automatically claim it after the timer?
