This is the first time I have worked with a dwarf Alberta Spruce, but I really like the tree and I like working with it. I kept a bunch of smaller branches and buds that are starting to poke out. If anyone has any advice for me about what I need to improve, I would like the feedback!

Picked up this Kwanzan Cherry for 5 dollars from the local hardware store. Thought it would be cool to play with and take cuttings from. It has this graft on it. Can I minimize that? If I cut the dead root stock off? I am also looking at chopping it down, since there is green growth at the base. Just looking for advice!
