Has anyone here actually lowered their blood pressure? What worked for you?

I found out at my last checkup that my blood pressure is higher than it should be. It wasn't high enough to be an emergency, but it's definitely something I need to work on.

I've already started making some changes like eating better and trying to be more active, but I'm curious what made the biggest difference for other people.

Did cutting back on salt help? Did losing weight or walking every day make a noticeable difference? How long did it take before your numbers started coming down?

If you were put on medication, were you ever able to lower the dose or stop taking it after changing your lifestyle?

Just looking to hear real experiences.

Thanks!

Does anyone else get "doctor's office" blood pressure?

My readings at home are usually normal, but the moment I'm sitting in a clinic, my blood pressure shoots up.

Anyone else deal with this? How did you figure out whether it was anxiety or actual hypertension?
