Nipping personal IT questions in the bud.

I've been a sole IT guy for a small manufacturing company for almost 2 decades and I frequently have to say "I'm sorry. I have to draw the line at getting involved with user's personal computing needs" It's always the response to someone sitting down in my office, pulling up Amazon on their phone and asking me "Which laptop would be best for my daughter?"

It makes me feel like an asshole because I'm genuinely empathetic and want to help folks, but most of these people have zero interest in talking to me otherwise.

The caveat of that is if it relates directly to their VPN/Remote workflow. But that's it.

I dunno. Had to tell someone that again this morning and I always feel kinda bad after.

I've been on this drug at 20mg daily since September of last year. It brought my blood pressure under control fairly well, with readings below 120/80 consistently. Prior to taking this drug, I was usually around 140/90.

In the interviewing months, I've also greatly increased exercise. I get at least 20-30 mins of exercise most days of the week now, usually a brisk walk but also occasional jogging and weight training at the gym.

I check my blood pressure at home every 2-3 weeks, (rested, average of at least 3 readings, sitting up, feet flat, ect ect...) and on April 13th, my blood pressure was 117/78.

I checked it again this weekend and it was around 128/83, higher than it's been since I started taking the medications. Last night, I checked it again and it was 139/92! Checked this morning, 135/87.

I'm not really sure what to do. I haven't taken any new medications, or changed anything about my diet or eating between the last couple weeks and now. Prior to taking this drug, I didn't really exercise much and I've been pretty consistent about exercising for months now.
