SEQ Ripple Signal and Dimmable Lights
Recently had some dimmable lights (havit dim to warm) with Shelly dimmers installed in my home and have learnt the hard way about SEQs 1050Hz ripple signal and the flickering it can cause on dimmable lights. It starts at 4:30pm and goes on for most of the afternoon, legitimately the only time we have our lights on :( .
Energex monitored my power for 2 weeks and have said everything falls within their spec and because they’re not allowed to recommend specific brands of filters their only options for solutions were “replace the dimmable lights with non-dimmable ones” or “try different drivers”. Incredibly helpful considering it’s also happening to the built-in LED lights of my new fans too.
Does anyone here have any experience rectifying the same or similar issues? Filters I’ve found online pretty clearly state they may not fix the issue, only reduce it by about 1/30th and they’re a lot of money for not a lot of fix.
