The Sun Makers: How relevant is the tax satire in 2026?

The Sun Makers gets slept on, but Robert Holmes went full anti-corporate here. Humanity on Pluto, six artificial suns, and The Company taxing everything (including the damn sun). It’s 1977 but feels like it was written yesterday. Tom Baker’s Doctor casually starts a revolution, Leela is an absolute badass, Gatherer Hade and the Collector are comedy gold villains.

Mark gives it his all.

But damn, the rest sucks. Woodlice out for a joyride? The humans are boring. Tegan never breaks an ankle running around in heels.

Not a good Doctor Who story
