Any recommendations for a last-minute family holiday on the Opal Coast?
Hi everyone,
We are thinking of spontaneously spending two weeks on the Opal Coast at the end of August or sometime in September. We will be travelling with our two children, aged 2 years and 0 years.
We have not yet decided where exactly to stay. We were thinking about Le Touquet (would that be a good choice?). Our main requirements are that both the beach and a town or village with some shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We will have a car, so we are also happy to explore the surrounding area.
We would be very grateful for recommendations regarding:
- towns or villages that would make a good base for us
- accommodation such as a B&B, apartment or holiday home
- day trips and places worth visiting with two very young children
- any other local tips
We know that this is rather last-minute ;-) but perhaps someone knows a nice place that might still have availability. Personal recommendations and direct links to accommodation would be especially welcome.
