I (22m) was offered a new role with my current employer. It is moving from a customer success role into a sale role and I have been pushing to do this (happy with sales targets and have previous sales experience). My responsibilities will increase but my employer has not offered a pay increase as they see it as a bridging role and I will only be in it for a short while.

I am pushing for more money and honesty will likely look to leave if I am not offered it. Has anyone ever had a similar experience and if so did you leave or how did it work out staying?
