PT VS X RAY WWYD?
Hello! I am just posting for some advice, I know in the end it will be my decision. But I am currently accepted and in a PT hybrid program starting in August and I am heavily rethinking going due to the amount of debt, the tuition will run about 100k and probably then some during clinicals and for supplies and such. I live in Florida and most jobs start well below 100k. I already have a bad relationship with money , however I thought PT would be a good career since I like patient interaction, the schedule is nice, and there are a lot of avenues I can take. But , the ROI is holding me back tremendously. I do have another option of going to a community college and doing their radiography program and work with my hospital company that I currently work at , which provides me income and clinical experience. The tuition and other costs will be about 10k. This sounds much more logical to do and considering there are a lot of ways to use a AART license. What is your opinion? PT is a higher degree but I see a lot of horror stories of debt and burnout in the field, but I also hear negatives for radiography. I would just love some input if someone can chime in. Thanks :)
