Energy and Caffeine

Hello!

I am 8 weeks in 75 mg effexor for Panic attacks and anxiety. I’ve been sooo tired lately maybe because this dose is finally kicking in. I start a 10 hour job tomorrow and find it hard to get energy during the day. What do you guys do for caffeine ? and concentration ?

Advice on upping dose 75 to 112.5

Need advice about upping dose

Starting 8 weeks on effexor 75 mg this week. My sleeping has improved a lot and it has helped with my panic attacks, I notice an increase in anxiety before my period. I still have high anxiety during the day and dpdr. I am learning how to deal with the dpdr but it’s been hard every day. Evenings and night time definitely feel better. Staying at home makes feels like my skin is crawling not physically but just restless of wanting to feel relief. With that being said my doctor wants to increase me to 112.5 mg. I’m just scared of messing anything or maybe not giving my dose proper time or coping correctly. Any advise? My anxiety spiraled after my first panic attack in March just days before I turned 26.

Intermediate metabolizer

Hello!

I recently got a genesight test that says I am an intermediate metabolizer of cyp2d6. I’m going into week 7 of effexor 75 mg I have seen improvements but also have had high anxiety nearly every day, gets better at night.

My psychiatrist doesn’t feel like I should change medications with these results. The genesight psychiatrist is advsing I switch to Zoloft since it is more compatible and wants to get me at 100 mg quickly. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to keep switching medications and feel worst, but I feel like with effexor the longer you’re on it the harder it’ll be to come off of it. Anyone here an intermediate metabolizer?

Hello,

A month ago I experienced my first panic attack and have been stuck on flight or fight mode and dealing with dpdr. I started Effexor 37.5 mg for about five days then upped to 75 mg going on 5 weeks now. I tried getting off of Effexor because I was scared of all the horror stories and tried to switch with Prozac. Introducing prozac while still adjusting to Effexor actually heightened my anxiety and dpdr and made things worst. I stopped Prozac after a few days and have stayed on just Effexor. I have had good days and bad days but can’t say it hasn’t worked for me. Right now I’ve been in a slum, I want to blame hormones as well since I’m expecting my period soon. Since my anxiety feels high right now , I of course need reassurance. Can anyway share DPDR recovery with Effexor. This is my first medication ever and was living a normal (anxious) life before the panic attack incident. Positive stories only Thank you💗.

Hello!

I’ve been on 75 mg for 4-5 weeks now. Ive seen it help me, definitely still adjusting and dealing with anxiety, but nonetheless in seeing improvements. I’m expecting my period soon and feel like my anxiety feels like it’s spiking. I’m not sure if that’s common or if i‘m expecting my anxiety to spike because I know my period is coming. Does this level out once I’ve adjusted?
