I got stiffed on a £3k invoice and spent 4 weekends building a fix
Client went quiet. Six weeks, four polite emails, zero response.
I wasn't going to take them to small claims court over it. So I just accepted the loss and got obsessed with making sure it never happened again.
Built InvoiceZap — sends professional invoices with a payment link and automatically emails reminders at 7, 14, and 30 days if unpaid. The uncomfortable nudges are handled so you don't have to damage the relationship.
Free to use. Would love feedback from anyone who's been through this.
My older Brother just finished college and he applied for job after job and got rejected countless times. He has already moved out but since he only has a part time job, my parents had to pay for many of his expenses for the better part of a year. As we are already a lower class family, this put a tremendous strain on us as a family.
I could notice him getting really frustrated as the months went on and at one point he even considered to give up and get a low paying job that didn't have anything to do with his qualifications but over time he got really methodical about how he applied. I even built a tool (I am a computer science student myself) that rewrites resumes to fit job descriptions.
With that tool and his new skills, he got a job within 4 weeks. My take away is to treat the application process like a skill in its self to be learned. if you want that, tool drop a comment and I'll DM you the link. Watching him do it makes me feel like I am better prepared for it myself.
