Earlier today on a trip into the Suburbs in Escondido, CA this afternoon my brother and I went window shopping at thrift stores I saw these and had to stop and take a picture to show you all these awesome late 50's early 60's General Electric cobra head street lights walking pass the Escondido Square Shopping Center 🛒 I am not sure what model these are 🤔 but I saw these growing up during the 80's and 90's and of course today, but not these exact ones but in Northern California and Northern Nevada plus San Francisco, CA and other places along the way these cobra head street lights have always grabbed my attention growing up as a little kid and my teenage years, even still till this day ☺️

I definitely can tell you that these awesome hidden gems are not 90 Watts these are 55 Watts Low Pressure Sodium street lights, there is another one on the next wooden utility pole next to it but I didn't take a picture of it because I didn't want to repeat the same street light and they are both on my favorite vintage 60's Southern California 2" galvanized steel mounting arms also these both do not work they haven't in years because I have walked by these at night and never saw them on what a shame 😞😢

The same Alleyway behind Taco Bell down the street from those awesome General Electric cobra head street lights in that abandoned parking lot that I posted earlier these awesome Line Materials cobra head street lights do work and are High Pressure Sodium and these are the only street lights in the Taco Bell parking lot

I know this is General Electric but I forgot the exact model anyway this is definitely another cobra head street light I definitely want to add to my bedroom street light collection same with the other General Electric M-250A behind me there are a few of these walking down the same Alleyway not the General Electric M-250A but this one with the cut off glass refractor down the street on different galvanized steel mounting arms on of course wooden utility poles but I didn't take pictures of those because I didn't want to repeat the same cobra head street lights it wouldn't make sense

On another one of my walks and found this hidden gem in an Alleyway in an abandoned parking lot in North Park (San Diego) this awesome 70's General Electric M-250A with a clear glass drop refractor and a vintage 2' long 1 1/4" galvanized steel mounting arm, I am not sure if it works at all but my feeling says it hasn't worked in years

On another walk but last year in October and found this awesome General Electric Last Generation Induction Cobra Head Street Light and the wattage which you might be able to see in the picture is 85 Watts, 120 Volts, clamped on again another one of my favorite vintage 60's Southern California 2" galvanized steel mounting arms that hopefully I will find someday these arms are only found around the Southern California area out of Southern California you won't be able to find these anywhere

In San Carlos (East San Diego) on another walk this was last year last summer 🌞😎 in a shopping center on the corner of Navajo Road and Jackson Drive I have been eyeing this for a couple years and never saw this awesome General Electric Powerglow 4,000 Watt Mercury Vapor street light turned on plus it is a shame because it was getting torn down because the restaurant behind it was an Italian Restaurant that went out of business and it looked to be also torn down they're going to build more apartment buildings like we need more of those everywhere you turn here in San Diego condos, apartments going up everywhere

I found this again on another one of my walks in Normal Heights (San Diego) yes I know it is LED and some of you may not care for these but this specific GE Evolve LED Project Grade street light caught my attention especially because it has a glare shield because of nearby apartments and homes but even without the glare shield I still want one of these but don't get me wrong I still appreciate High Pressure Sodium and Mercury Vapor and of course Low Pressure Sodium too ☺️

I found this awesome 90 Watt Low Pressure Sodium Street Light in brown on another one of my walks in North Park (San Diego) in an Alleyway it has my favorite vintage 60's Southern California 2" galvanized steel mounting arm which might be 5' or 6' long that arm is definitely one I would love to add to my bedroom street light collection and store it away for a future build to display my street lights

I bought this last year last fall 🍁🍂 on eBay I didn't win it I bought it through the Add To Cart 🛒 the seller still has a bunch of them still till this day he has the 90 Watts, 135 Watts and the 180 Watts fixtures anyway I still need to get a 90 Watt bulb for mine then I will definitely take pictures of it warming up with that awesome warm up show of hot pink and then eventually turning into that awesome warm golden yellow glow 😎💡☺️

I found this on another one of my walks in Hillcrest (San Diego) a couple of summers ago it probably no longer exists because the building looked like it was about to be remodeled soon at that time I haven't been in that section of the city in a while but I should go back and check but pretty much my feeling is telling me that it is gone what a shame for something to go to waste it is like people give it to a collector who really wants it
