Recently, I was in a debate group where we had a long discussion about divine omnipotence and why it supposedly doesn’t make sense. I believe we can’t analyze the divine, especially divine concepts, using human logic or computational logic for example, reasoning that if X equals Y, then Y cannot equal Z, or relying on conditional and unconditional statements. Otherwise, we’ll end up reaching extreme conclusions or no conclusion at all. I’ve been thinking about this and trying to figure out whether this is a logically sound way of thinking or whether I’m mistaken.
