[H5Y2] Bride-Taking Ditter

>!I am a bit confused about Dunkelfelger courtship especially Bride-Taking Ditter. So getting engagement tasks only shows that the girl is proposing herself and serious about it. The parents can still say no. Bride-Stealing Ditter is bridenapping ny punching the family in the face and taking off with the girl. And it's obviously incredibly insulting that the boy + family want her without anyone's consent. !<

>!So, what about bride-taking ditter? The young couple wants to be together against the wishes of the bride's parents or someone else who can refuse. Lestilaut disguised his bride-stealing as bride-taking, so it's possible even if the girl already has a fiancé. My main question is: Shouldn't that also considered as an insult to the father/parents similar to bride-stealing? Ok, the bride to be is on board with it but the groom is still questioning the parent's decision and meddling in the affairs of another duchy/house.!<

>!Another thing. Rozemyne refused Lestilaut pretty clearly when he "proposed" to her and only accepted the challenge when he threatened that he would get her anyways. Shouldn't it have been obvious that it was bride-stealing ditter at this point for everyone in the room, including Hannelore and Cordula? Hanners might be too timid and too intimidated but Cordula sends her own reports and isn't easily intimidated. At least she could have told Rauffen, when the irregularities piled up (like playing at the academy). And the heir challenging the judgement of another aub and declaring war more or less seems report worthy to me. But neither Rauffen nor the archducal family knew it was bride-stealing ditter. Also I am not sure why Sieglinde chastised her daughter's decision, when she talked with Syl and RM. Sieglinde thought it was bride-taking ditter and in that case preventing the treasure from leaving with herlover is part of the game.!<
