We Finally Have Green!!!!

I have been struggling with the corms I got from my momma Gageana Albo. They’re all lacking a will to live and just keep spitting out ghost leaf after ghost leaf. I had 3 corms and they’re all growing in like that. However, I finally have ONE that has given some green!!!

Went Shopping!

Had a whirlwind out of town trip for the weekend. My husband had a convention thing for work he had to attend and he invited me to tag along. First thing I did was research if there were any planty places within driving distance LOL! Of course there were! I had fun visiting them both and buying some new babies! 😍😍😍

I also got a planty themed custom tattoo on the trip! 😉* *

The Babies Be Baby-ing! 😍

Picture 1: The baby from this batch I am keeping

Picture 2: The babies I am not necessarily keeping lol

Picture 3: Momma Plant

My Alocasia Odora ‘California’ is quite the producer. When I repotted her on April 2, 2026 I got eleventy billion corms. I also separated several smaller pups, and left several larger pups still attached to momma. I delivered and mailed some corms/pups out to friends, and kept 1 pup for myself. When it was all said and done, I had a LOT of corms to grow out myself.

Yesterday, May 14, 2026, I was working on one of my baby trays. This is the result.

***Note: this is batch 2 of sprouting, batch 1 was 2 fully sprouted corms that have already gone to live somewhere else. I still have 4 or 5 more corms in various stages of rooting & sprouting. 🫠💀🥹

Still Not Done!

This is Velma. She’s been working on this leaf for about a week now and it’s still not fully hardened off!! It’s a major size up, her first leaf is to the right, 2nd to left. She is beautiful and I’m so proud of all of her hard work! 🥹😍

“Rare” Caladium Bloom Finally Opened Overnight!

Apparently it can be “rare” or “uncommon” for a Caladium to flower. And a lot of people pinch off the blooms so that the plant concentrates on foliage. I did not-I think she is BEAUTIFUL! 🤩

*Caladium ‘Pink Splash’
*Lives outdoors in zone 8b, in my DIY chonky soil-less mix.

Had the joy of attending The Big Plant Expo this weekend in Charleston, SC. I had so much fun and added some beautiful new babies to my plant family! I can’t wait to see them all emerge and come into happiness in their new home! 😍😍😍

*Not pictured are 3 Anthurium Hybrid Seedlings and some ungerminated Anthurium Hybrid Seeds that I picked up. There isn’t much to show yet with them lol
