If you had to start cold calling US businesses from India today, which platform would you choose and why?
We're about to start outbound sales for our B2B AI software company, targeting founders and businesses in the US.
I've spent days comparing Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, OpenPhone, Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, and a bunch of other providers, but every review seems sponsored or written by the company itself.
I'm looking for advice from people who actually make outbound calls.
My requirements are:
- Buy a US local phone number
- Make calls from India to US businesses
- Excellent call quality
- High answer rate (caller reputation matters)
- Low cost as we scale to thousands of calls per month
- APIs for future automation are a bonus
If you've used any of these providers, I'd love to know:
- Which one are you using today?
- What does it cost you each month?
- Any hidden fees or surprises?
- How reliable is the call quality?
- Which provider would you avoid?
- Has switching providers noticeably improved your answer rate?
If you had to start from scratch today with your own money, what platform would you choose and why?
Real experiences are much more valuable than affiliate blog posts. Even if you've only used one provider, I'd really appreciate hearing what worked (or didn't).
Thanks in advance!
