Will I ever get off medication?
Back in march I went to the ER for being dizzy (vertigo, never experienced it and got scared) they took blood tests (said my troponin level was at an 82) but my EKG, ct, xray, echo came back normal. However my blood pressure readings were insanely high, 144/93, 163/108, 150/116. A few days later I had a check up with my doc and my blood pressure was 127/89, she put me on Amlodipine, did the 2 week checkup to see how my blood pressure was and it was 123/83. I got off the medication due to the horrible side effects i experienced. I’ve been put on Propranolol (20mg twice a day) and my numbers have been good, 120s, sometimes 130s depending if I have caffeine and even into 112. I’m still experiencing the dizziness and have no idea what’s happening with that so I expect my blood pressure to however in the 130s/80s. I’m just curious, once i find out what’s going on with me, will my blood pressure go back to normal (it used to be 127/75 - 131/86 depending if I ad caffeine at the reading) or will I have to stay on medication for life?
