I'm here to ask about your experiences with administrative processes, whether for TD or TN visas.

My wife's case is a bit complex, so I'll try to summarize it as much as possible.

She was already in the USA, and due to some problems she had, she stayed 14 days beyond her authorized date.

My wife went to her TD visa appointment last Monday (August 10) and the consul told her during the interview that he would send her to administrative processing, and that she needed to upload a document. It's important to mention that the consul kept my wife's passport.

Before uploading that document, the status of the application appeared as refused (and it indicated right there that this would be the case while in administrative processing).

My wife sent the document the consul requested the next day, as soon as she got it. And today, the status of the application updated the date of the last update to August 12.

My question is, does anyone know if that refused means a final denial after they updated the date on the case? Or is it just that it's still in administrative processing and they updated her case with the document she sent?

Also, if anyone has gone through something similar and could share their experience with me, as well as how long their administrative process took, it would be really helpful.

Vengo a preguntar sus experiencias con procesos administrativos, ya sean de visas TD o TN.

El caso de mi esposa es un poco complejo, así que voy a tratar de resumirlo lo más posible.

Ella ya estuvo en USA, y por unos problemas que tuvo, se quedó 14 días de más de su fecha autorizada.

Mi esposa acudió a su cita para la visa TD el lunes pasado (10 de Agosto) y el consul en la entrevista le dijo que la mandaría a proceso administrativo, y que ella debía subir un documento. Es importante mencionar, que el consul, se quedó con el pasaporte de mi esposa.

Antes de subir ese documento el status de la solicitud aparecía como refused (y ahí mismo indicaba que así sería, estando en proceso administrativo).

Mi esposa envió el documento que le pidió el consul al día siguiente, una vez que lo obtuvo. Y hoy en el status de la solicitud, actualizaron la fecha de la última actualización a 12 de agosto.

Mi pregunta es, alguien sabe si ese refused es una negación definitiva después de que actualizaron la fecha del caso? O solo es que aún sigue en proceso administrativo y que hayan actualizado su caso con el documento que envió?

También, si a alguien le ha ocurrido algo similar y que me pudiera compartir su experiencia, así como, cuánto tiempo duró su proceso administrativo, sería de mucha ayuda.
