I know that this is a weird way to introduce the idea, but is there a trope talk about crossovers?

I had a stupid crossover idea while considering how many times Sherlock Holmes has faced off with Cthulhu, and that made me think about how many tropes show up specifically in official crossover stories. Some are allowed to be canon, some are retconned as soon as they happen and impact nothing. Didn't know if this counted as a meme or a suggestion, so no clue how this works.

Red's Heard of ReBoot, But What About Shadow Raiders?

I have seen all of Beast Wars, I'd heard of ReBoot, but it wasn't until seeing the first episode of Shadow Raiders that I knew Mainframe was ahead of its time. It's got the kind of worldbuilding that makes me think of Red's own work.
