Please check the Data collection before you play
Hi everyone!
I've played in every playtest of Monster Hunter Outlanders and the game itself is great for now. Love QoL changes and the fights are fine for a mobile game, although I can see this game go haywire with later bosses like MHOnline did.
Anyway that is besides the point. I was already very wary about the data collection of Level Infinite and Timi when I first played MH Outlanders. I've recently checked it again and its absurd.
Mind you, you are not allowed to request your data that was collected to be deleted!
Base Access the game requires from you(I'm just writing it 1 to 1 as they have written it):
- Camera - Take pictures and Videos
- Location - Access precise location only in the foreground/access approximate location only in the foreground
- Microphone - Record Audio
Other Access of Data collection the game does:
- android.permission.FLASHLIGHT
- access AdServices Custom Audience API
- Advertising ID Permission
- run foreground service
- access Bluetooth settings
- Google Play license check
- read user selected image and video files from shared storage
- view network connections
- prevent phone from sleeping
- Access to AdId API
- view Wi-Fi connections
- run foreground service with the type "mediaPlayback"
- show notifications
- receive data from Internet
- run foreground service with the type "microphone"
- read image files from shared storage
- control vibration
- Google play billing service
- detect screen captures of app windows
- have full network access
- change network connectivity
- play install referrer API
- access AdServices attribution APIs
- change your audio settings
- connect to paired bluetooth devices
- run foreground service with the type "dataSync"
Some of these are just basic requests to have the game running obviously.
