I got HPI approval last week and visa start date is September 28. I plan to head over in October.
After linking evisa to account, my name was doubled on evisa. I submitted report-error form.
What should I do? Will they rectify fast?
I got an interview to a lab in US with 4 postdoc, 2 grad student and 1 manager. The lab is less than 10 yrs old with a couple of manuscripts under revisions from postdocs. I was allowed to talk to lab members all at the same time, not individually. As expected, everyone gave very positive feedback as everyone is listening. Then I contacted one postdoc through LinkedIn and I was told that if I am not ambitious or don't plan to be a PI or just to get money or just to apply for green card, it's recommended to join the lab. In the end, that postdoc said I would be very happy as life is very very good as there's not so much work. I can just chat with people the whole day or even don't wanna work. Even if I plan to work, I can work. That sounds truthful but there must be something going on.
That postdoc also did remind me that he reached out a previous candidate privately to warn something and PI wasn't happy much. So I am requested not to tell PI about our private conversation.
PI seems very very nice and lab people are very very friendly based on group talking. I don't know how to decide as I like flexible working environment without compromising science and my ambition. My other friend is that this is very typical lab culture in US and most people work 3-4 hrs a day in lab and chatter in lab mostly.
Should I apply more and explore more or consider this lab?

I am applying for HPI with previous UK social visit visa rejection. I am a little tight on time to move to UK.
Does anyone know if previous rejection requires more background check so HPI decision process takes longer than usual?
