George V/Paris Prices in general

Has anyone been tracking prices at FS GV lately? I get this is a FAT sub, but even 3 out of their 5 regular suite categories are 5-digits. Entry level rooms are regularly $3k+, even during regular seasons (not counting Roland Garros, Paris fashion week, or Christmas). This feels unheard of to me and rivals CB pricing for a Superior room, and greatly exceeds Ritz/Crillon. In London, regular suites at Claridge's/Corinthia/Connaught are all 4-digits max. Only Signature Suites are 5-digits (or 6, if considering the Penthouse at Claridge's). Yet for the GV, the Duplex Suite can go for $11,000+/night, the Premier can go for $12-14,000/night, and the Grand Premier goes for $14-16,000/night, all regular suite levels. I can't even imagine how much their lower Signature Suites are.

Does anyone know how FSGV can command such a high price premium, and how much do their Signature Suites go for? and is Paris eventually going to get priced out like London did after COVID?

Zverev not happy about filming content for TC just to barely make it in their post

he appeared for like half a second at the beginning lmao

the promotional video asked various players to write certain numbers in roman numerals on a whiteboard and then show the camera. players featured include Tommy Paul, Casper Ruud, FAA, Learner Tien, Hailey Baptiste, Mirra Andreeva, Eva Lys, Iva Jovic, and Victoria Mboko, among others.

someone's still salty about their loss yesterday

Ryan Walker FS Yacht Review

Ryan Walker (who regularly reviews high-end hotels) published a pretty scathing review of the FS Yacht. I'm curious if there are any TA's here who have booked clients onboard with similar reviews. Did he just take the trip too early and didn't give them enough time to work out the kinks? He generally had praises for the hard product but the big misses included service inconsistencies, lack of communication between employees about his food allergy, and functionality vs. aesthetics in the room.

His final score was a 29/50, giving ambiance a 7.5/10, room a 6/10, dining a 5/10, service a 4.5/10, and it-factor a 6/10.

Some notable misses he mentioned:

  • one water bottle in the room smelled like sewage, and he had two other guests smell the water to confirm
  • transparent TV made it difficult to actually watch anything because it was see-through
  • had to tell crew multiple times about his beans allergy when it should've been added to his profile the first time he mentioned it
  • shower was missing hot water half the time
  • very cheap tea bags used
  • an employee started spraying down his terrace while his door was open and he was inside his room

For reference, some of his past videos received the following scores:

  • Four Seasons Seoul: 40.5/50
  • Four Seasons Madrid: 41/50
  • Rosewood Mayakoba: 42/50
  • Peninsula HK: 41/50
  • PH Kuala Lumpur: 39.5/50
  • Ritz Carlton HK: 37.5/50
  • Waldorf Astoria Cabo: 39.5/50
