Hello citizens! Taking a little break from the Batmobile build and posts…be back shortly!

Again, not much to this step…just setting the seat pan in place.
Setting the floorpan. The…METAL…floorpan. Holy crap this thing is gonna be HEAVY
Assembling and attaching the driveshaft
Assembling the steering gearbox and attaching it to the frame and previously installed front suspension and steering mechanics
Bolting the rear suspension onto the frame
Building most of the rear suspension. Next up, attaching it to the frame.
Building out the back-end of the frame. Almost caught up to where I am real-time!
Another few “fluff” issues. Putting together and mounting the other front wheel.
Finishing the right-side suspension and mounting the first tire
Covering some frame holes, adding suspension bracing, and left-side suspension/shock assembly
The beginning of the front suspension, and mounting the engine to the frame. So, a little background on me…I’m an old retired guy, and this is one of the “fun things” I do to pass the time (besides volunteering at and serving on the board of directors for a local museum and volunteering time for my church). I actually started this project back in the fall of 2025, and had a number of these issues built before I started posting here (that’s why is seems like I’m working REALLY FAST on it). Around the holidays I fell victim to some medical issues and this sat for a few months while I recuperated. I picked up where I left off, at Issue 12, then started posting here after about Issue 20 or so. I’ll keep posting a couple issues at a time, but will be caught up in “real time” soon. Thanks for following along! I love sharing this project with other fans!
Not much to these two. Starting to build the frame. These are die-cast pieces, so it’s already heavy!
Finishing the engine block. The ignition/spark plug cables that run from the distributor to the plugs…THERE’S a test of my manual dexterity. Those are actually pieces of rubber tubing, cut to length and pushed onto pegs. And they are wired to the proper cylinders from the distributer. That was tough as the tubing wanted to slip off one peg while I was setting another. Finally resorted to a TINY drop of Gorilla Glue to keep them in place.
