How is this edited? Especially the backdrop.

I think lighting is fine but I'm guessing the backdrop is heavily edited but am wondering what exactly was done. Apologies, not sure who the photographer is to credit.

Tips for older Japanese film look (All About Lily Chou Chou, Blue Spring, Swallowtail, The World of Kanako, etc)

Attached are stills of a film I recently Co-directed and am currently editing, shot on an Arri Alexa 35 and DJI Ronin 4D. It was heavily inspired by some classic Japanese cinema as mentioned in the title and newer films like Happyend. It's more an art/performance/fashion film, about impermanence, youth, and belonging, told through the perspective of someone who grew up moving between places, languages and identities. What do you guys think about my current grade with that as context and do you have any suggestions?

Any tips? Just can’t seem to make drone footage fit in plus I think there’s some in camera sharpening maybe. I’m aware in davinci to just treat d-log m as rec709 because it’s essential just desaturated rec709. All other footage is going through a CST to davinci wide and then rec709.
