Anyone got some good dramatic Castilian Spanish accent references?

For my current D&D campaign I am playing one Don Símon Teodoro Rodrigo Baltasar del Puerto Río de Plata y Castillo de Oro - an outrageous, comedic, over-the-top caricature of a 16th-17th century Spanish Swashbuckler (think Puss in Boots or literally any character played by Errol Flynn, but more self-centered, and needlessly stylish).

So far I’ve been basing his accent almost entirely off of George Hamilton’s exaggerated Spanish accent from Zorro the Gay Blade, and while I’ve thought about mimicking Inigo Montoya or any of the other Zorros, my gut feeling is that those are played quite seriously and might be difficult to translate into the ridiculous, overly-dramatic delivery I’m looking for.

So yeah. Any of y’all got a good clip or two I can work from?

Revenge is pretty damn sweet, actually.

We’re often told (or shown) that revenge is a bitter, hollow thing - the phrase “before seeking revenge, dig two graves” is a common thought, it seems.

But what about when it isn’t? What about when it just plain feels good?

Inigo Montoya - The Princess Bride
There was no ambiguity here: killing Count Rugen was the best possible thing that could have happened to Inigo. After many long years preparing for that moment, his father’s spirit could finally know peace, and so too could Inigo. >!It’s a shame he probably didn’t survive long after escaping the castle, but Goldman left that part up to interpretation sooooooooo…!<

Edmond Dantés - The Count of Monte Cristo
Now I haven’t read the book, mind you, so I can’t speak to the original, but this one is debatable. Not every adaptation depicts Edmond’s vengeance in a totally positive light - and there are a LOT of adaptations out there - but a good number do show the defeat and arrest of General Fernand Mondego in particular as a cathartic thing that finally allows Edmund to breath freely.

Beatrix Kiddo - Kill Bill
In the end, after stopping Bill’s heart and returning home victorious with her daughter, we see Beatrix sobbing on the bathroom floor, finally able to truly process and grieve… and then to laugh and find joy. Is that joy in the fact of Bill’s demise, or her freedom from the curse of his existence? Unclear, but it is done, and I don’t think she regretted it one bit.

First time clabbering, wish me luck.

Apparently I need something to do while I’m unemployed, and for some reason I chose making cheese. I must be insane.

I’m working off a very simple recipe from The New Making of a Cook, by Madeleine Kamman. It calls for a gallon slightly-warmer-than-room-temp milk, a half cup of buttermilk, and a half tab of rennet. Crush the rennet, mix all ingredients well, and wait 12-18hrs. Cut the curd, strain into cheesecloth, and let hang to dry for as long as you like. I’m think I’m to expect the cut curd to break down further into small-curd like cottage cheese, but I’m not sure to be honest.

I got lucky today at the store, ‘cause they had a surplus of whole milk and I only spent $3 on two gallons, so in addition to this batch I’ve got another set aside to culture with a buttermilk starter overnight.

Should be interesting.

Edit: Started perusing the subreddit properly, and y’all’s cheeses are intimidating lol.
