Want some rocks for a self sustaining fish pond, preferably flat, but I don’t know what rocks are safe, and where to get them. Also will definitely add more self sustaining plants soon. Can anyone help? Thanks! :)

Hi! Im looking to set up a Mosquitofish pond for bug control and aesthetic. Using a petco 50 gallon nature above ground pond. Haven’t set up anything like this in years. It will be half in sun and half in shade. No pump, want to have everything done by the plants, like oxygen, bacteria, etc. Can someone help me with the step by step process? :)
-What kind of substrate and layers of substrate
-Using tap water, what kind of dechlorinators and bacteria starters do I need?
-Plant recommendations and when and how to plant them?
-Any other additional information that would be good to know before starting

I want to establish Mosquitofish outside, not in direct sunlight. Would this be a good pond to purchase? Would I also need to purchase a separate filter/pump/equipment? If this is not good, what are some other options? Thanks!
