Is there any reason GonerMaker second voice couldn’t be Dess/the voice in the code?

What initially made me consider this more than I had before was the ch5 weird route, actually, and specifically Noelle’s whole obsession with being someone else, and how Kris was able to do it. She calls out Dess’ “leaving” specifically as the catalyst for this obsession, and from what we know of Dess, being obsessed with being someone else would fall right in line - what teenager stuck in a dead-end town experiencing teenage-typical rebellion and angst under a strict mom and an ailing dad hasn’t fantasized about being someone else, somewhere else?
The voice in the code is tied to Dess in many ways, too, what with the whole ‘don’t forget’ line and her failing grasp on reality, memory and identity. If that is Dess in there, it would mean she exists somehow outside the boundaries of the game itself, as we’d theorized for a while, putting her in the exact position she’d need to be to interrupt the other being who exists outside the game itself, in menus and devices and credits sequences and, oddly, Twitter.
And if you assume she’s also the Knight, which I do, she’d have good reason for wanting our Soul to not have its own vessel; whatever her plan with Kris is, it’s reliant on Kris having the Soul in the Dark Worlds, as the ch4 phone calls reveal.
All of this came to a head when I thought about one particular line in the opening cutscene - “no one can choose who they are in this world.” It all lines up perfectly with things we can at least loosely assume about Dess, the code voice and the Knight, but I am only one man and have no idea whether this is something everyone else has known for a while or whether I sound like a raving lunatic, so if anyone has any contradictory evidence, please do share.

Hole in my scar?

So about 2 weeks ago, I got to take my scar tape off and it was all well and good, except for accidentally yanking some stitching too hard. It ached a little and scabbed over for a while but today it started hurting a lot more to touch and strain and now there’s a hole. Is this a ‘see urgent care now’ thing or a ‘this can wait till your appointment in a week’ thing?

New blood?

I’m about 4 weeks post-op, and got cleared to remove the scar tape yesterday and stop binding tomorrow (yay!) and have been cleared to stop covering my nipples with anything other than Vaseline once a day for about a week, but have only just started yesterday due to some lingering bleeding that I didn’t want on my binder. Since the scars are still fresh, I stuck a bit of gauze down there last night after my shower and tape removal, but when I woke up today, one of my nipples was bleeding from a spot it hasn’t bled from. Considering the location of the blood, I’m more inclined to be concerned than if it were just a usual scab. There wasn’t any scabbing or loose flesh visible on the gauze, so I’m a bit perplexed by what could have caused it to start suddenly leaking blood. Is this a ‘call my surgeon’ sort of thing or a ‘probably normal blood’ sort of thing?

TL;DR: random bleeding from unusual spot 4 weeks post op. Am I fucked?

So this is what euphoria feels like.

I’m sore, I’m tired, I’m panicking every few days over some new medical mystery and whether it means my chest is about to burst open Alien-style, and I’ve had three and a half of the most chaotic and exhausting weeks of my life. But after a truly wonderful second post-op, I was cleared to stop with the horrid itchy nightmarish scar tape in three days and take my scar tape off today, and when I looked in the mirror after gritting my teeth and peeling the crusty-ass medical tape off my raw, aching scars, I was first grossed out by the evidence of a surgeon removing two pounds of flesh from my chest, but then I felt something that made the whole experience worth it.
I felt comfortable in my skin.
Even outside of my chest, somehow the features I’ve always beat myself up over seem minuscule now, and I had the foreign thought that I actually look kinda good.
It’s not going to be like this all the time and I’m perfectly aware of the ups and downs of the rest of recovery, but when I’ve been able to look at myself and smile for the first time, to actually be happy to call this vessel and all the misgivings I’ve had with it mine, I think it’s already surpassed “worth it” and landed comfortably in a permanent change for the better.
So if you’re two to three days into recovery and sitting in bed in immense pain, unable to lift your arms or hold your cat or shit or really do much at all, I promise you that I’ve been exactly there and here I am now, and you’ll get there too. This body is yours and you’ve made it so.

Asymmetric numbness?

So I’m about 3.5 weeks post-op, and I’ve hit the stage where I’m no longer wondering if every single little thing about my nipples means they’re falling off or every twinge in my pec is the prelude to my chest bursting like an old Alien movie.
But there’s one things that’s been nagging me for a while; the left side of my chest started regaining sensation about a week after the surgery, but the right is still glaringly and immensely numb. Like when I’m peeling the micropore tape from the graft coverings every day, I can feel where it sticks to my chest (ow) on the left side but it’s like it’s not even there on the right, and it’s deeply unsettling. I know numbness is normal and bodies aren’t symmetrical and everyone’s experience is different, but did anyone else have this particular quirk? And if so, how long did it last?

A brief thank you

At the start of this month, I achieved a half-decade long dream and received a double mastectomy. Of course, I had a lot of support, but something I don’t think gets mentioned enough is people like you all; the people answering frantic midnight questions, posting pictures of your results with the surgeon’s name for people wanting to know what their own post-op might look like, especially when it can be hard to find results for surgeons outside the US or in private systems, sharing your stories of the highs and lows of pre-op and recovery, offering support and advice and unconditional shared trans joy to people achieving a huge step towards comfort in their bodies. So from one random guy living better in his body, thank you all for making the world, and this procedure, a little less scary for years of queer people to come.
