Well, Brother Goo does, at any rate.

I snagged a bit of a bargain - a 1943 edition of Coleridge’s [The Rime of] ‘The Ancient Mariner’, illustrated by Mervyn Peake!

It’s a bit tatty, hence why so cheap, but still looks cracking. Check out these illustrations!

I’ve read bits of it here and there over the years but thought a full read was long past due, hence why I went looking for a copy.

What’s it about? Exactly as Bruce Dickinson says - “This is what not to do if a bird shits on you!”

Basically, treat nature well or it’ll bite you on yer arse!!

I’ve also posted a page which has verses Iron Maiden fans will be very well acquainted with.

HENGE are a superb band, and the art installation of Mars at Parr Hall by Luke Jerram really suited this gig.

- relax focus 
- pull mobile back slowly  
- when you see 3 identical  images…

It doesn’t work for everyone, but you can still enjoy the snaps in 2D.

We did a slingshot manoeuvre around Mars at Parr Hall tonight. Quite the venue.

Although Cardiff is, what? Forty miles away? My whole house stinks of the wildfire smoke from Blaenavon. Presumably other folk are experiencing this?

Is it just a case of keeping windows closed to stop the particulate matter getting in and fkin up your lungs?

It’s fkn roasting in Cardiff, and a bog standard fan isn’t helping.

Here’s a tip - get a few empty plastic bottles, fill them with water, seal and freeze them. Then in the night stand them in front of your fan with enough room for the airflow to move between them. Hey presto! Cooler air for about an hour.

Once they melt, swap them out for another frozen pair of bottles, and stick the warm ones back in the freezer ready to be redeployed later..
