Did Tata Sabotage Last Night to Prove a Point?
Finally he gave in and played a 3(5)-5(3)-2 but did so playing 2 traditional wing backs on either of Stian as CBs while playing nobody over the age of 23 in the midfield and no one to take charge... He played wingbacks that both are super uncomfortable with the ball at their feet in attacking situations (as opposed to Ronny and Pedro who are very comfortable there). The entire idea of wingbacks is to get them forward into dangerous spots..
Obviously it was a comedy of errors last night in the first half but it was clear how much better the team looked with the insertion of Berrocal, Muyumba, Galarza and Saba.
I have been wanting to see this formation all season but I feel like Tata was trying to give his critics a middle finger about Hoyos and his tactical choices.
