Be on the lookout for my unit. Lease start date would be 8/1. 5pointz HUGE 1bedroom on a low floor. I'm the only occupant in the unit since the building went up in 2021. I absolutely love it and have taken care of this unit so much, but moving on. Keep refreshing MGNY if you are interested! I am not sure what the rules are so don't quote me, but I am going to ask MGNY tomorrow if I am allowed to help find a replacement tenant. If you are super motivated and interested let me know and I'll update the post with the rules/what is shared with me tomorrow. It would really help for this to be re-rented FAST since I'm responsible for rent for one more month. This is a 130% AMI unit currently at $2635. Thank you.

Last post for today. I am currently in a lottery unit moving to a re-rental. I thought renter's insurance was not required for lottery units? I know for my current building I moved into 5 years ago it was "suggested but not required" for lottery units. Is this an HPD policy? I think I assumed it was back then and now realizing that may not have been the case.

Searched HPD marketing handbook and can't find it. I would rather not pay for renter's insurance and hoping I can point to an HPD policy that prevents them from requiring it...idk. :)

so close to living my best re rental life! I thought HPD approval was the last step - now being told lease signing will be handled by management (obv). management says I need to “apply“ to the building, which requires uploading paystubs etc. is this a formality to generate the lease?

how long does it actually take? I know it’s supposed to be an expedited review per guidelines…. but realistically, how long?!

Just sharing this important information. I was told it's not only MAIL for re-rentals/first come first serve. People who e-mail applications, or drop off in person are also considered lol. How is this allowed when the instructions literally say MAIL the application?!
