Hey seniors, we’ve been asked to get a combined affidavit notarised on a ₹200 non judicial stamp paper, and i’ve heard that this process cab be done on campus during the tenure of the orientation, is this true?
And will notarisation on campus be fairly hassle free when compared to getting it done from my hometown, and what about the prices?
And silly question, but I won’t be ending up in any trouble if I don’t get it done from my hometown right??

I'll be joining VIT Vellore soon and had a question regarding hostel laundry.

I've heard that students get around 44 laundry washes per year, which works out to roughly one wash per week. Is this actually how the laundry system works?

If that's the case, do most students bring enough clothes for every day of the week (or even more) so they can comfortably manage between washes? Roughly how many pairs of clothes would you recommend bringing to the hostel?

Also, how many clothes/items can we give in a single laundry wash? Is there a limit on the number of shirts, T-shirts, pants, etc., that can be included?

Would appreciate any advice from current students or seniors. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’ll most probably be joining CS Core this year and had a doubt regarding how academics and grading work.

Are all the students in the branch taught together, or are they divided into separate sections/classes (like batches of 50–60 students)?

Also, how does the relative grading system work in that case? Is grading done relative to the entire branch together (for example all 800–900 CS students), or separately within each section/class?

Would really appreciate it if seniors could explain how this actually works.

What CSE specializations or CS-related courses can I realistically get at VIT Vellore with this rank? Is core CSE still possible in any category?

Hey everyone, me and my friend are both planning to join VIT Vellore this year, and we’re thinking of taking a dual-sharing hostel room.

Is there any way to get the same room allotted together during hostel booking? Like, is there an option to choose your roommate or request a specific person beforehand?
