Experiences with rib subluxing on top of sternum?

Trying this again. I am a grown adult and am getting proper medical treatment by trained physical therapists for this issue. I am looking for shared experiences and stories.
Okay.

So I've had what my pcp has called "pectus excavatum" for years. A hard bone bump on the left side of the middle of my sternum.

I had physical therapy today. And my physical therapist figured out that "bump" was THREE RIBS that have been ON TOP of my sternum! And she moved them back down to the side?!!

It has been like this for five years. I thought I had a bone deformity. And now it's just completely flat and I have to think about not breathing deep enough to sublux my ribs back on top of my sternum.

Has this happened to anyone else??? Because apparently I've just set the record for weirdest thing my pt (who exclusively treats eds) has EVER seen.

Ribs subluxed on top of sternum?

Trying this here because the r/ehlersdanlos mods think I'm a child for some reason

How I modified my OAS Air Ultra to better fit me and my hypermobility!

First I took a board, cut it down to size, spray painted it black, and attached it to the base with velcro to provide height and prevent sagging. On top of that is a 2' thick foam mat also cut to size and attached with velcro. Then that is attached to the original cushion. In total this adds about three inches of height to the seat.

For the seat back, I purchased a McKesson Back Support Cushion for wheelchairs, in the smallest option. This has a rigid back and prevents sagging. It did not provide enough support given the height of the seat, so I sewed a black cover for a folded towel that proved good support, and attached it to the cushion with velcro.

Finally, the seat was too wide for me, so I sewed black covers for two rolled up towels to use as bolster cushions on either side of the seat. This helps my knees and hips stay aligned.

I hope this helps someone with this chair that might need to modify it. Let me know if you want the links to any of the products I used!

For those with hEDS- does a custom manual chair hurt to sit in?

Hello! I (hEDS, AMPS, POTS, Me/CFS) recently bought a folding electric wheelchair (OAS air ultra) to be able to do an important internship. It's made me realize that I maybe do actually need a wheelchair, as it's pretty much the only way I've been able to survive a 40 hour work week. However, it's quite uncomfortable to sit in, because it's not made for my measurements. I've done some modifications with my PT, but they are less than ideal, so I'm considering starting the process of getting a manual chair with a power assist.

I had a question for custom manual wheelchair users (specifically those with nerve pain and/or rib and hip subluxations): Do they still hurt to sit in after multiple hours if they're fitted properly? Any advice would be appreciated!
